Well, the Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaria is about 15-16 km from the centre so a taxi can cost up to 10 or 12$. You can always take the buses, from right outside the terminal building. They go every 10 minutes. I don't know exactly how much a ticket costs but I bet it's much cheaper.
